Working With Real Estate Agents Acknowledgment Card Revised

The Commission has revised the Working With Real Estate Agents brochure to easily and conveniently provide buyers and sellers with information concerning the agent who furnished and reviewed with them a copy of the brochure and to disclose whether the agent will be representing the seller.

A new section titled, “FOR BUYER/SELLER”, has been added on the panel to the left of the acknowledgment card for agents to enter their name, firm name, license number and date.

This section remains as part of the brochure that is left with the buyer or seller when the agent detaches and retains for filing the acknowledgment card itself with its identification of the buyer or seller, the agent and the buyer’s initials if disclosure of seller sub agency is applicable.

Working With Real Estate Agents, first published in May 2001, must be given to buyers and sellers at first substantial contact to disclose agency relationships.

It is projected that the newly revised brochure will become available in late February or early March when existing inventory is depleted.

Agents may continue to use any Working With Real Estate Agents brochure, regardless of the date on the back panel.

CONTINUE TO USE EXISTING SUPPLIES OF WORKING WITH REAL ESTATE AGENTS. THERE IS NO NEED TO DISCARD OLDER VERSIONS OF THE BROCHURE.
